Athlete Supported by Forlife Wins Bronze Medal in European Wheelchair Athletics
Wearing ForLife’s colors, Paralympic athlete Mário Trindade won a bronze medal in the 100-meter wheelchair athletics competition at the European Track and Field Championships held in Swansea, Wales.
Mário Trindade also won the 400-meter race, but was disqualified due to the fact the front wheel of his bike had trod down the adjacent track as it curved, in a small slide that proved decisive.
The Paralympic athlete, who is supported by ForLife, the gym where Trindade exercises weekly, mainly in the area of cardio fitness and weight training, now has as his next goals to participate in the Qatar World Cup in 2015 and the Rio de Janeiro Paralympics in 2016.
Mário Trindade has been included in the Guinness Book of Records since 2007, when he hit the mark of the longest distance ran in less than 24 hours, running 184 kilometers and 400 meters in 18 hours and 53 minutes.
